"Clean" skincare basics that won't break the bank
Choose from moisturizing and brightening options--or mix and match!
I totally give Native credit for elevating natural deodorants to “acceptable” status. Obviously their presence in every Target store introduced the concept of non-toxic deo to a whole new customer base, and the wide range of scent options meant there was something for everyone. Native was one of the first I tried when I made the switch a few years ago—and I keep one of their travel-sized sticks in my bag just in case I get sweaty or stinky when I’m on the go.
It’s no surprise that Native would eventually set their sights beyond our ‘pits, and the range has grown to include body wash and soap, haircare, face and body sunscreens and toothpaste. And in great news for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a bundle on skincare (or worry about potentially harmful ingredients), Native has launched two 3-step regimens exclusively on Target.com.
For those whose skin needs a little extra hydration, the lineup includes the Coconut & Vanilla Moisturizing Facial Cleanser, Coconut & Vitamin B3 Moisturizing Facial Serum and the Coconut & Vitamin B3 Facial Lotion. The latter two are fragrance-free (I know that matters to some of you) and this threesome represents a simple way to actually commit to a regimen that rings in at less than $50.
If skin-brightening is more your jam, the Citrus & Bergamot Brightening Facial Cleanser, Vitamin C & Vitamin B3 Brightening Facial Serum and Vitamin C & Vitamin B3 Brightening Facial Moisturizer are the way to go. The serum and moisturizer are fragrance-free similar to the moisturizing products—and just so you know, vitamin B3 is niacinamide, which is a fantastic skin-brightening and soothing ingredient you’ll find in fancy products as well. As an added bonus, the lotion has mineral-based SPF 30 (because sunscreen is imperative while using any products for dark spots, as UV rays make them worse or come back after you see improvement).
Just a reminder that all of Native’s products are free of parabens, phthalates, silicones and dyes, and are vegan and cruelty-free. They are also formulated with as few ingredients as possible—and have been dermatologist-tested and deemed suitable for sensitive skin. And for those of you who need a reminder about product-application order of operations, the bottles are numbered 1, 2 and 3.
If your skin needs extra hydration and a helping hand in the even-skin-tone department, go crazy and mix and match!
