The latest Tom Ford makeup drop!
Let a little pop of color help you forget it's the dead of winter.
Few things excite me as much as new Tom Ford makeup, and I always manage to fall for his limited-edition offerings. (And I still pine for the Lip and Cheek Stain from 2012.) “Get-it-before-it’s-gone” pressure aside, these timely drops always seem to fill a void in my makeup drawer (or life), and the new Bitter Peach collection feels like the light at the winter tunnel even though we have a ways to go.
Truth be told, I’m not so into the Bitter Peach fragrance because fruity notes are not my jam. However, the associated lipsticks and eyeshadow quad are calling my name. I forecast peach being a big hue for spring, simply because it’s bright, cheery, flattering on all skin tones and surprisingly neutral.
The Bitter Peach Eye Color Quad in “Belle de Pêche” features four shades that work amazingly together and on their own. As expected, you get a light peach, a deeper peach, a pinky peach and a warm brown (which serves as a softer stand-in for your usual eyeliner). Wear any of them solo for a sparkly wash or color, or layer them to create a multidimensional finish. These eyeshadows can also be applied with a wet brush for even more impact.
Naturally you need a lip to go along with your bright, fresh eyes, and you have two matte shades to choose from. “Chérie” is a lovely nude, while “Scarlett” is a bold intersection of orange and brick-red—and these formulas offer up to 10 hours of moisturizing, non-feathering, fade-resistant color.
Tom Ford always gets it right when it comes to luxe packaging, and the oh-so-appropriate, eye-catching orange ensures this collection won’t be overlooked when you’re creating your look for the day (or night).
Punxsutawney Phil saw this shadow this morning, which means we’re in for six extra weeks of winter (if you believe in the weather-predicting abilities of a rodent), but new makeup is sure to help get us to spring.
