There's a new brow brand in town
These luxurious, high-performance formulas are sure to step up your game.
If you haven’t checked out Thirteen Lune yet, I suggest you get right on it. Offering one of the best beauty and wellness curations out there (and committed to serving up 90% BIPOC-owned businesses), I’ve found too many innovative, under-the-radar brands to count. Among them is BBB London, a collection of brow products created by London-based threading guru, Vanita Parti, who’s also the founder of Blink Eyebrow Bars.
The four products carried by Thirteen Lune caught my attention because they feel more like a cohesive “regimen” as opposed to stand-alone products. (A bit more research revealed that Nordstrom carries BBB London brow pencils and tools as well, and there’s a WHO.) The “treatment” product of the lineup is the Nourishing Brow Oil, which is designed to help boost brow growth while you sleep. Featuring a blend of organic almond, sandalwood, lavender and rosemary oils—and a rollerball applicator—I can only imagine how amazing it smells. Come to think of it, “conditioning” my eyebrows sounds like a lovely idea, and I’m surprised I haven’t gone down this path before.
BBB London offers several options for enhancing your eyebrows by day as well. There’s the self-explanatory Clear Brow Gloss (which can be used on its own or to “set” other brow makeup) and the microfiber-laced Brow Build Gel, which is available in five shades. Ideal for adding definition and volume to visibly increase brow “fluffiness,” I’m beyond intrigued (and this has been added to my running product reminder list). Although brows take centerstage in this collection, I can’t leave out the Luscious Lash Oil—which seems to be the Nourishing Brow Oil with a spoolie applicator. (If you’re thinking you’d like to try both, just get the lash version and brush it through your brows.)
On a separate brow-related note, a friend of mine recently asked my thoughts on waxing versus plucking. My answer to that was, it all comes down to the skills of the professional you’re trusting your brows to. If my aesthetician was able to get the perfect shape by using a weed-whacker, I’d be totally down with it.
